Completed Quilts

See below for pictures of quilts I have made.

Completed in 2012 for Dan and Ali’s wedding. A very basic ‘Raggy Baggy’ quilt.

Completed in 2013 this is another basic ‘raggy baggy’ quilt that I made for a Christmas gift for the owl-loving Sydney.

This is the ‘raggy’ side of Sydney’s quilt. It was great to use up a lot of novelty prints that I wasn’t sure what to do with.

This was the first quilt I machine quilted by myself! It was made in 2013 for Holly for Christmas. She likes greens, blues and whites so I made a simple square quilt using what I had in my stash.

This shows the backing of Holly’s quilt – I simply adore that fabric.

This is yet another Raggy Baggy Quilt designed by and made for my Fiance in 2013. He used a lot of purples in this one so I tried to make it a bit more masculine by using black thread throughout. This was a great chance to chew through some fabric scraps by making a scrappy binding.

This is a strip quilt that I finished off in 2013. I particularly love the machine quilting done by the Patchwork Fabricator on this one which uses a gorgeous variable thread. The blue dotty binding is also one of my favourites.

This is the first applique quilt I made. It’s the Scary Squares pattern from Shiny Happy World and it is such a great pattern! This is also the first (and currently only) quilt that I quilted myself using a long arm sewing machine. I’m saving up to buy my own now, the possibilities with a long arm machine are endless… Completed in 2013.

This is the backing fabric of the Scary Squares Monster Quilt – I love the contrast between the bright green binding and the purple on the back.

This is my ‘Little Houses’ Quilt that I completed in 2013. I really love the fabrics in this one and am thinking about making a bigger version as this is quite a small lap quilt. This was also quilted at the Patchwork Fabricator  with a stunning swirly design they recommended.

This is a baby quilt that I made for Victor. It has very cute Hansel and Gretel fabric squares and I like the blue and green together. It has large monkeys quilted all over by the lovely ladies from the Patchwork Fabricator .

This is my Ron Swanson Along quilt made as part of the tutorial from The Happy Zombie. It was so much fun to make and I completed it in 2014. Quilted by the Patchwork Fabricator .

This is the back of the Ron Swanson Quilt. I made a strip of bacon and eggs and wrote out one of my favourite Ron quotes for the label. I also really love the moustache fabric I found for the backing but wish I’d paid more attention in matching the pattern at the join… next time I’ll do better.

This is a ‘Scary Squares’ Monster Quilt that I made for baby Victor in 2014. It is the second time I’ve used this pattern (by Shiny Happy World) and I think it turned out really nicely. I am particularly happy with the hand-guided quilting done by Robyn from the Patchwork Fabricator in Croydon. It really made the monsters pop and I’m sure baby Victor will get a lot of use out of this happy quilt.

Here is a photo of the back. I made the quilt label a monster for fun.

Daria Pixel Quilt

This is a photo of my Daria Pixel Quilt. I designed the pattern myself and am considering selling it provided I can work out copyright issues!

  1. Beautiful and lovely quilts, I really like the scary monster quilts, they are so funny, I’ve never seen something like these before.
